Linda and I have paid for our tickets, sent our passports to Washington DC to get the required visa's for Cambodia and Vietnam. We have our new suitcases ready to be packed, in fact Linda is already practice packed! I have bought new outfits as we need "cool" clothes...I am sure Linda has done the same. We spent Wednesday and Thursday of this last week getting our shots (Hepatitis A & B, Typhoid, and Flu), we also have our pills for Malaria and Travelers Diarrhea (for heavens sake). We have our itinerary from Viking but not much else except for our insurance. It is now one month and one day before we leave. The airtrip is 17 plus hours and we have one layover in Seoul South Korea, and maybe sometime to explore. I have been watching YouTube video's of the different locations on our trip and we will be seeing some amazing things. I am particulary excited as now that I have had my cataracts removed I might even be able to see...what I am looking at. Linda and I chuckle at the thought of this being a non shopping event...but everyone who has been there keeps telling us about the wonderful shopping opportunitites... "Don't pay any more then 1/2 price for anything" they tell us! I look forward to the wonderful foods..I am not sure Linda joins me in that excitement ...although I did get her to go to a local Cambodian resturant and we had a very nice meal. Paul wants us to try the local fruit called "durian"... if you watch the Youtube on this ..they claim it smells like dead bodies... so I am not sure if we will be able to do that... time will tell.
